To get an instant quote simply click on the button GET Free Quote and fill in the information. It takes only a couple of minutes to do it and you will only need your pick up and delivery zip-codes or name of the locations and the year, make and model of your vehicle.
The only time your vehicle will be driven is only when the driver is loading it on and off the truck. The vehicle will stay on one and the same truck during the whole transportation and it will not be shuffled around.
It all depends on your needs. If you are fully flexible with the dates of pick up and drop off, you can choose the package Flexible and let us choose the best driver for the most reasonable price within your time frame.
If you are limited in delivery dates, but are totally flexible with pick up, you can proceed with the Recommended package and we will find you the best driver who will suit your delivery time frame.
Expedited package is perfect for those who’s limited in pick up and delivery time frame and need to ship the vehicle asap. If your vehicle is going from an auction or a shop that has storage fees, that is the best option for you. You may spend more on shipping but you will for sure save money on storage fees.
If you are shipping a brand new, exotic, vintage, or show car we highly recommend you go with enclosed transportation. Enclosed car haulers keep your pride-and-joy protected from rain, snow, outside dirt, and dust. And if your vehicle has low clearance, enclosed trailers have lift gates to load and unload the car.
The price for moving a vehicle depends on a bunch of factors: mileage, type of the trailer required (open or enclosed), a vehicle’s size (sedan, SUV, pickup truck, van, etc) and condition (operable or inoperable), season (for example, moving from northern states will cost more during winter), popular routes. You can get more information on the price by checking our articles about moving directly to the state you need or simply requesting a free quote.
Usually we ask for a 7-10 day notice to schedule the pick up. In this case we will be able to find a driver within your time frame and for the most reasonable price.
The carriers our company works with always do door-to-door delivery. Occasionally customers are asked to meet the driver at the big parking lot nearby the pickup or delivery locations if the street is too narrow, it’s a cul-de-sac or dead-end, or if there are low-hanging trees that may scratch the vehicles on the trailer.
After you place an order and finalize all the necessary paperwork, we start looking for a driver for you. Once we have any options, your shipping agent contacts you to check if the dates work for you. If they work, we set up the details with the driver and send you a carrier information with the estimated pick up and delivery dates along with the driver’s details. Then the driver calls you a few hours in advance to negotiate the exact pick up and drop off time.
We request the email in order to send you the quote. Even if you decide to ship the vehicle much later than planned and your quote expires the details are saved and can be quickly found by your email and recalculated. If you prefer not to give an email, you can simply call us at (904) 863-5350 and we will provide you a quote over the phone with no personal details necessary.
We require the year of the vehicle since older cars are typically longer and heavier than their newer versions and size is a big component of the cost of shipping. Some popular cars like Chevrolet Corvette have been around for several decades and we ship both new and old cars.
We have been in business for more than 12 years and since then we have become a large and reputable auto transport company. We have thousands of satisfied customers, including corporate clients, dealerships, auctions and body shops. We are a fully licensed and insured broker with a 5-star rating on Trust Pilot and Transport Review.
Open transport is the most common car shipping method. A car on this is exposed to outside elements such as rain, sun, dust, etc. It is a safe and secure way of transporting your vehicle. New cars are delivered to dealers by open trailer. With open car shipping you have the option to request top load for extra protection. Enclosed transport is often desired for owners of collector cars and used for classic, luxury, vintage, custom and sports cars. The vehicle is not exposed to weather elements and flying objects and prevents possible rock chips.
It all depends on your needs and you can choose whether to transport the car in an open or an enclosed trailer. Open trailers can be small (hauling up to 3-5 cars) and large (hauling up to 10-12 cars). If you are planning to move an exotic, brand new or vintage vehicles we recommend you to use enclosed transport to protect your var from dust, unexpected weather conditions.
Sure, once you are ready to place an order with MoveWheels, we will need to have your exact addresses and phone numbers for pick up and drop off locations and the date when the vehicle is ready to be shipped. Right after you will receive the paperwork that needs to be signed to finalize the booking.
You can change your shipping dates anytime. The only exception is when the driver is already on the way to pick up the car. Until then simply contact your shipping agent via call, text or email and ask to change the date for a new one. Please note, that if you want to ship your car earlier than planned, there may be a delay since the drivers for earlier dates may be fully booked. Nevertheless, we will do our best to suit your needs and ship the car within your time frame.
MoveWheels is a broker company that allows us to ship your vehicle anywhere within your time frame. If you are wondering why you cannot work with the carrier directly that is only because carriers are usually small family-owned businesses that do not have enough staff to work with customers directly.
A broker company is a kind of bridge between the customer and a carrier company. The broker clears and negotiates the details with the customer and then looks for a carrier who can move a vehicle on a specific route within the specific time frame.
No, we only need the car key and the vehicle itself. We actually recommend you to remove them since road cameras may take a photo of your vehicle by mistake and send you a ticket for speeding, for example.
The first available date is the date your vehicle is ready to be transported but this is not necessarily the exact pick-up date. Depending on the drivers’ availability on your route, we can assign a truck to load your vehicle on your First Available Shipping Date but it may also be a few days after. If we cannot pick up the car on the first available day, it should be within our usual pick-up window of 1 to 5 business days starting from that date.
We are always doing our best to schedule the driver within your time frame, but usually drivers ask for a 2-day window for pick up and delivery in case there are delays because of traffic or unexpected weather conditions. In any case, whether the driver is running late or not, the dispatcher always calls the customer in advance to negotiate the exact time and the driver calls at least two hours before the negotiated time to double check the customer is available.
You can place an order without providing your exact address, but we will need it to negotiate the details with the driver. If you are not sure about the exact delivery address, you can choose any big parking lot near the supermarket and meet the driver there.
To provide you with a quote, we only need your pick up and delivery zip-codes (or just the name of the city) and the information on your vehicle: the year, make, model and whether it’s running or not.
To ship your car within the mainland we only need the car key and the car itself. If you are planning to ship the car to overseas territories you will need your booking number, ID card, VIN number, and the title of the vehicle. If you are shipping the vehicle to or from another country, additional paperwork may be required but that depends on the country you are shipping the vehicle to/from. You can find more information on this topic in our article about Overseas vehicle shipping
We can ship any kind of vehicle, but it will affect the price. If the vehicle is inoperable we will either hire a driver who has a winch on the trailer or a forklift to load the car on the trailer. If your vehicle has issues with the battery and everything else is okay, the driver can jump start your car and ship it as an operable one.
We only require only your vehicle information, exact pick up and drop off addresses, and your credit card information (but we do NOT charge anything at the time of booking). Right after we receive this information from your side we will be able to send you the contract to sign.
You can pay the driver with cash or any certified funds. Besides that, some carrier companies may accept Zelle or CashApp payments.
Unfortunately, most of the drivers only accept cash or certified funds (cashiers check, money order or company check if you own a business). Bank Cards are not accepted by carriers since they have no means to process them and personal checks are not accepted either since it is rather easy to withhold the payment after the vehicle is delivered.
According to Federal Law, a driver must be paid in full for services rendered. But if there was small damage caused to the vehicle and the driver offered to cover it from his own side you can pay less for the exact amount of money you negotiated.
If the driver advises you to submit a claim to the insurance company and you try to withhold the payment partially or in full, he/she can legally hold the vehicle, until all applicable fees are paid.
If you experience any difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are always here and ready to help you.
Vehicle transportation is a tax-exempt service. Besides that, the quote we send you is the total price with all other fees, taxes and insurance already included.
We do offer a bunch of great discounts. They are:
If your plans change and you need to cancel your order, please email us at support@movewheels.com, since every cancellation needs to be submitted in writing according to our Terms and Conditions. The only case when we cannot cancel your order is when the vehicle has already been picked up.
We do NOT charge anything until the car is actually loaded on the trailer so there is no need to make a refund.

We do not have any cancellation fee, so you can cancel your order anytime you wish. However if the driver is assigned to your order the deposit becomes non refundable.
There are such certified funds as:
Once you place an order the system will ask for your credit card information but we DO NOT charge anything upfront. The only time we charge a partial deposit is once the vehicle is picked up and the balance you pay at the delivery point to the driver with cash or any certified funds.

Unfortunately, we only offer a Door-to-Door shipping service which is more convenient and less expensive. If you pick up or delivery locations are some remote areas you can meet the driver near a larger city or a highway in order to reduce the cost of shipping.
We can ship all kinds of vehicles but you must inform us about all modifications at the time of booking. The quote you receive from us is for a regular vehicle with no modifications. To get the most accurate quote simply email or text us the photo of your vehicle and we will send you an updated quote asap.
Yes and we highly advise you choose enclosed transportation for such vehicles. If you are planning to ship a vintage, classic, luxury or brand new vehicle, check our new article about top 6 enclosed carrier companies.
We can do that, but before the driver is at the pick up location, please make sure your bill with the storage is fully paid and the vehicle is fully operable. If it turns out the car is inoperable, the price for shipping will be higher. If it’s only the battery issue, the driver can jump start the car and ship it as an operable one.
Yes, we can ship such vehicles both on the open and an enclosed trailer. But we highly recommend our customers to use enclosed transportation since a liftgate is needed to load such cars without any issues. For vehicles with clearance lower than 5 inches, only an enclosed trailer is an option since they cannot be driven on a trailer with ramps.
Unfortunately, we do not ship furniture. We can only ship some personal items with total weight under 100 lbs, but please pay attention that they are not insured during shipping since auto transport carriers are not licensed to move items in the vehicle.
Also please make sure the items are properly packed and secured and the interior of the vehicle will not be damaged.
We can move such vehicles, but it may affect the price of the transportation. If the roof rack exceeds the maximum height for a vehicle of this type, the cost may be higher since the car will end up taking more space on the trailer.
If it’s possible to remove the roof rack and put it inside the vehicle (front seats must be free of it) no additional cost will be applied.

Top load refers to the area of the open trailer where the vehicle is placed. Usually convertibles (especially with soft tops) are placed on the top level of the truck.
We connect our customers with licensed top rated carriers that can ship any kind of vehicles from a regular sedan to oversized cargo like boats, limousines, bulldozers and so on. We take each move as a separate and unique car shipping project and work only with professional and licensed drivers.
Movewheels company can help you ship any kind of vehicle. We work with carriers who have special trailers for transporting oversized cargo like excavators, dump trucks, tractors, boats and so on. You can check our article Oversized Vehicle Shipping to get more information on this topic.
We can offer you an open or an enclosed car shipping methods. Open trailers are more popular since they are cheaper and can transport more vehicles at the same time. Enclosed shipping is more expensive but it protects your vehicle from outside elements such as rain, snow, dust, small rocks, etc. Enclosed trailers are mostly used for shipping classic, luxury, brand new vehicles.
Once your vehicle is picked up, it stays on the same trailer all the way to your delivery address and is not shuffled around or placed in a terminal waiting for another trailer.
Our company offers only door-to-door vehicle delivery, which means that the driver will pick up your vehicle at your exact address and deliver it to your exact address. It can be any address you choose: your home, work, your friend’s place, airport, hotel, or just a parking lot.
We do ship the vehicles from any kind of pick up locations including auctions, dealerships, bodyshops, parking lots, etc. Check our article Copart, IAAI, Manheim Vehicle Shipping Guide to get more information on the topic.
Carrier companies usually don’t allow to ship personal items alongside the vehicle, but we totally understand that sometimes our customers may need to ship some things inside the car. Therefore we always negotiate with the drivers and you can put up to 100 lbs in the truck or in the backseat below window level. Please make sure it’s properly packed and secured since the items are not insured during transportation. Carrier’s insurance covers only the vehicle itself because drivers are not licensed to transport anything except auto transport units.
Gas is only needed for loading the vehicle on and off the car hauler, so we recommend you make sure it’s only a ¼ tank of fuel. If it’s more than that, it will make the vehicle heavier and if every vehicle on the 10 car hauler has extra weight the driver will probably receive a ticket for being overweight.

You will have the phone number of the driver and you can contact him at any time to check where he is or when he will deliver the car. You can also call us at any time and we will find out the location of your vehicle and estimated drop off date.
When providing you with a quote we do not look at the year of the vehicle, how new it is or how expensive it is. The price only depends on the route, type of the trailer you choose, dimensions of your vehicle, and the availability of driver’s on your route.
The Bill of Lading (BOL) is a document that the driver is supposed to fill in at the time of the pick up after checking your vehicle for any pre-existing damages. If he finds any, he notes them down in the BOL and both you and the driver should sign the paper.
When you receive the vehicle at the drop off location you should check the vehicle for any new damages and in case there are any also note them down in the BOL and sign it. Then you should contact the shipping company, they will send you all needed paperwork and help to submit the claim to the carrier’s insurance company. Here the BOL plays the most important role: if you don’t have it or you didn’t fill it out at the time of pick up or drop off, your claim will most likely be rejected. Bill of Lading is a proof that your vehicle got damaged during transportation and not before or after that.
Sometimes it happens that our customers cannot be at the pick up or drop off locations and that’s totally fine. If you can’t be at the pick up address, you may ask your friend, neighbour, relative to release the car to the driver. If the place is totally new to you and you have no one there, you can leave your vehicle near your house or at the secure parking lot and hide the car key near the tire and let the driver know about that. When he comes he will load your vehicle on the trailer and send you some photos as a proof that everything is okay.
If you can’t be at the drop off address, you can ask your friend or relative to receive the vehicle for you and pay the driver. If it’s not possible, you can ask the driver to unload your vehicle and hide the car key inside the car or near the tire and send you some photos. If you can’t be at the delivery location, you can pay the driver at the pick up location or send money via Zelle or CashApp if he has an account.
Usually drivers cover up to 400 miles a day, so you can calculate the approximate length of the route and divide it by 400. Usually it takes 7-10 days from coast to coast, and 3-5 days from north to south or vice versa.
A vehicle is considered operable if it can be driven on and off the trailer under its own power and steer. If it needs to be winched on the trailer or a forklift is needed to put it on the trailer, the vehicle is considered inoperable. Please pay attention that shipping of an inoperable vehicle costs more and not all trailers can transport inoperable vehicles so pickup may take longer than for operable cars. It can play an important role when picking up the car from an auction or a storage facility.
You can find our reviews on TrustPilot, TransportReviews and Google.

According to the license the driver is not allowed to have any of the personal items in the car. If he will be stopped at the weigh station and the police will find any personal items in your car the driver will get a 500$ ticket. But the reality is people need to ship their personal items along with the vehicle. You can put up to 100 pounds of your personal items in the trunk or inside the car but below window level and make sure its properly secured and it will be 50$. But still, it will be cheaper rather than sending it separately.
Your vehicle is fully insured from the time of loading on the trailer to the delivery time. Depending on the type of trailer and carrier company the insurance coverage may vary from $100 000 up to $250 000 for each vehicle on the trailer.
Yes, we are. Movewheels company is a licensed and registered member of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
No, it doesn’t. We have lots of customers who shipped the vehicles from dealerships or auctions and of course the vehicles didn’t have any insurance. All vehicles are insured by the carrier’s insurance company during the transportation process.
Unfortunately, if the damage is caused by your personal items the insurance company of the carrier will not cover it since the carrier is not licensed to transport anything except the vehicle itself. Therefore if you are planning to transport any items inside the car make sure they are properly packed and secured.
No, you don’t since the insurance coverage of the carrier company is 0% deductible.
Once your vehicle is loaded off the trailer at the delivery location, make sure to inspect it for any new damages. In case there are any, note the down in the Bill of Lading and get a copy of the document from the driver. You can also take the photos of the damage. Please contact our company right after that and we will provide you with all required information and will help you to submit a claim to the carrier’s insurance company.
Unfortunately, personal items are not insured while transportation since the auto transport carriers are not licensed to transport anything except the vehicle itself. Therefore if you are planning to transport any items inside the car make sure they are properly packed and secured.
If your vehicle is transported within the mainland, it is insured by an Inland Marine Cargo Insurance policy which is provided by the carrier company that transports your vehicle. The insurance coverage varies from $100 000 up to $250 000 per each car on the trailer.
The value of your vehicle is determined based on the actual cash value of the vehicle at the time of transportation process.
