First of all, even though the drivers we work with are very professional we always check their insurance papers before finalizing the deal with any of them. The insurance coverage is up to $150,000 for the open trailers and up to $250,000 for the enclosed trailers.
In case your vehicle gets damaged during transport, you have to note down all the new damages in the Bill of Lading (BOL) and take some photos. Then make 1-2 estimates at a local workshop and let us know about that. Your shipping agent and our customer support service will provide you with all the necessary paperwork and will help you submit the claim to the carrier’s insurance company and you will receive a check within a week.
Make sure to note everything on the BOL, otherwise the insurance company may partially refuse to pay your claim.
You can put up to 100 lbs inside the trunk or in the backseat, but it should be below window level. If you are planning to ship something fragile, please make sure it’s properly packed and secured. Please pay attention that the items are not insured by the carrier’s insurance company.
The payment is divided into 2 parts: a partial deposit is charged AFTER the vehicle is picked up and the remaining balance is due at the delivery location when you receive the vehicle.
The partial deposit is charged from the debit or credit card provided at the time of booking and the remaining balance should be paid via cash or any certified funds (money order, cashier’s check or company check). In case you are not planning to be at the drop off location you can pay the driver using Zelle, CashApp or Paypal, and some drivers even accept Venmo.
The time of shipping depends on the length of the route. If you are shipping the vehicle within a state, it will take only a day. Shipping the car for 500-800 mi takes 2 days, 900- 1200 mi – 3 days, 1300-1800 mi – 4-5 days, 1900-2600 mi – 5-7 days and if your vehicle needs to be transported from coast to coast it will take 7 to 10 days.
We can ship any kind of vehicle:
- when the vehicle is operable, the driver simply drives it on the trailer;
- if the vehicle is inoperable, the driver will put it in neutral and winch it on the trailer;
- in case you don’t have the keys to the car or it doesn’t roll, we can use a forklift to get the vehicle loaded on the trailer.
